We also took in the views over the township today. See those mounds over to the left? These are hotels, mines and various other touristy businesses. If you look carefully you can see the entrances. They extend backward, underground into the sandstone hills.





Here's an example of the air vent pipes that we didn't notice before but now seem to see everywhere.





It's been a great day today, and is about to get better. We have booked a tour to visit the Breakaways at sunset which is supposed to be magnificent. We're gonna go have a cuppa and then change into some warmer clothes before we head for the hills (literally!).  Hopefully we'll have some good photos to share with you tomorrow.
